and so it begins…

so… it all started in like 2009 when youtube became my life. i do have a youtube account, but i only went on to listen and download music. but then i saw a short titled- “Hitting on Cathy” created by one, wong fu productions.

it was hilarious and opened a whole new world of asian youtube. through wong fu productions i found-kevjumba (jumbafund), nigahiga, communitychannel, davidchoimusic (davidchoitalk), justinchon, freddiew (freddiew2), lilcdawg, pauldateh, timothydelageto, justkiddingfilms, and of course QUEST-theDOMINICshow, hokutokonishi,victorvictorkim, freaakinaris, QUESTXFENG, ryanimay, steveterada. and from that list it only contiues.

so you see, it all started with them, these three guys- Wesley Chan, Ted Fu, and Phillip Wang- and they collectively created one of my favorite channels on youtube. thank you…

so as my love of youtube progressed, so did my knowledge of other youtubers. although not all of these were asian- such as meekakitty, nanalew, mysteryguitarman (jp), destorm (destormtv), threadbanger, hungrynation,epicmealtime, corridordigital, charlieissocoollike, chestersee, and the list continues… 

so really, i’m not obsessed with asian youtubers, because there is diversity in my subscriptions… so yeah…

how this all started…

it doesn’t bother me that my sister thinks i’m in LOVE with asian people, beacuse… its kinda true. i went to school that was about 96% filipino and the majority of my friends are asian. i grew up around asian people- and have grown to love them and the many cultures i’ve learned about. but i don’t love them over my own cultures, i am NOT asian- i am irish, german, french, and scottish- i know right, i’m a real mut ( like d-trix )… crazy how i’m more influenced by asian than my own heritages.

its just something i grew up with. i don’t wish to change where i come from, i love my family and wouldn’t trade it for anything…
